Finishing your beautiful piece May 15
All sessions  will be live on ZOOM 5-8PM

Charcoal is one of my favorite mediums. I started drawing well before I ever thought of paining because I was always in love with the magic of creating the third dimension on the flatness of my page with a stick of burned wood. Unfortunately, people often skip learning to draw before they move into painting. But, I can tell you with confidence, underneath every beautiful painting there is a masterful drawing.

If you like to PAINT, this is a perfect workshop for you, because charcoal lends itself to faster study of the visual elements that are necessary for painting.

In this workshop I will share all I know about drawing people in charcoal. We will discuss the building blocks necessary to produce any successful piece of art or design and then focus on portraiture. Throughout the workshop we will study composition, edges, values, anatomy and so on. I will also share the technique I use to produce accurate faces with minimum struggle.
You will watch me demonstrate the techniques I am using to develop the portrait. I will also spend one-on-one time with each student while they work.

The workshop will take place online but due to the one-on-one aspect the space is limited to 5 students.

All skill level artists are welcome.
